Snupin/Severitus: Severus' grief at being the cause of Lily's death makes him follow Dumbledore to Little Whinging and the Dursleys' doorstep. He steals baby Harry away...at least that's his intention! He meets Remus there as well, and they combine forces.

Snarry: Auror Potter has never looked into the silvery threads of Severus' memories since he appeared before the Wizengamot. Alone and lonely, he finds himself curious...and then he finds even more.

Snupin: Werewolves are hard to kill and Remus is living proof of that. His body was spirited away by Hermione Granger after the last battle and held in stasis while he heals. Years have gone by and Severus Snape is needed once more; Hermione steals a Time Turner, which is in turn stolen from her. Remus is not so nice or gentle.

Snack: Severus Snape is a drunk. He survived Nagini's bite by wearing a transfigured steel neckplate and still shared his memories with Harry so that Voldemort was defeated. Unfortunately, all of Harry's avowals of Snape's heroism fall on mostly deaf ears. While he's trying to brew during a drinking binge, he recreates the Veil in his cauldron; fishing for a dropped ladle, he instead pulls out Sirius "Sodding Irritating" Black!

Snack: Sirius Black detests Severus Snape with every fiber of his being. Years out of Hogwarts, Black begins to notice a man with a very distinctive nose. He shadows him and realizes that Snape is living in the city; he knows something wicked is afoot! That is until he sees Severus ready to throw himself in front of a bus in Muggle London. Sirius saves him...Bellatrix tries to steal him...and Voldemort makes an offer for Severus that could change everything.

Snupin: Remus fought too long and hard to get to get the werewolf clans to listen to him. Now the Alpha of a small pack in the Scottish Highlands, he needs a face--heroic and savvy--to push the werewolves' politics. Severus Snape, dour, sour, and enticingly scented is chosen for the task.

Snack: What if James had been the one to send Severus to the Whomping Willow and Sirius the one to save him? How would Sirius take care of Snape? How would Severus respond to Black's aid? And, just how would this dark James respond?

Snacking Snupin: Severus Snape was never anyone's favorite anything. Suddenly, he's become the chew toy in a tug-of-war between Black and Lupin. Not that he minds terribly. Unfortunately, Hermione Weasley thinks it's time for someone to stop playing.

Snarry: Harry Potter died and never came back. Somehow, Voldemort is gone as well. In the afterlife, Harry finds out his father can still be a prick, his mother is just as great as Snape thought, and then there's this lean, mean, dark-haired chap named Russ who seems to know Harry.

Snack or Snupin: Severus is inadvertently poisoned when Neville surprises him brewing a delicate potion. If Lupin: He's called in to trace the Dark Magic and nullify it. If Black: He has to create new Charms Spells or Transfiguration Spells to help Snape heal.

Severitus/Snack: Sirius Black was never sent to Azkaban. Albus Dumbledore never retrieved Harry Potter. Snape's horror at losing Lily overcomes his abhorrence for Potter's whelp; it is his fault it happened. Sirius is grief-stricken--Harry is his son! When Sirius meets Severus, he smells Harry's scent on him.

Snack: Sirius plays hard, at everything. One thing he didn't count on is adult Severus playing harder, and this time, for keeps.

Voldie/Snape/Harry...or just Snarry

Snape will do anything to protect Harry even if it means divulging to Voldie that Harry is a Horcrux. In the aftermath of learning this, Voldie's plans change concerning Harry and the Wizarding World and something happens (spell, curse, ancient magic, evolution, vampireness, spontaneous healing...or whatever else think can cause it) that causes his soul and mind to start to heal.

A new more powerful, charsmatic, ambitous and saner Voldemort emerges and decides that Potter and the Wizarding World will belong to him and nothing will stop him and the path to that is through Snape.

...I think I went out of your target range. *shrugs* You can tweak it however you want.
