"Look at me." The voice commanded.

Black, pain filled eyes opened and gazed upward into clear blue eyes. They weren’t quite twinkling, but kind nonetheless.

He felt warm as he stared into the piercing blue eyes of… who? Severus wondered.

The next time Severus awoke, green eyes sparkled with relief, joy and something Severus could not identify.

"How?" Severus gasped.

Harry smiled. "An old man came to me. He said you still lived."

Severus sighed as Harry gently kissed his forehead. He might never know how he managed to survive, but at least now, he had something to live for.
