Remus sat there staring at it, silver paper and green curling ribbon, small enough to be jewelry, but probably not.

His finger curled in the ribbon, tugging the small box towards the edge of the table. It had arrived for him the day after he’d been released from St. Mungo‘s. His hand closed over the box.

Remus stood then and flung it against the wall nearest him with a force fueled by rage and sadness. He hoped that what ever was inside shattered into a million pieces. It was fitting really, as the gift mocked the shattered pieces of his heart.

Like everyone else, I feared Severus must have died. But since that doesn't seem to be the case . . . I'll assume they fought or something and knowing Severus he's done something awfully stupid-he does that with Harry all the time ;). Very powerful piece.
